Water Resource Managers
Calera's aqueous process uses water as an input, but is best served by water that is highly mineralized and/or alkaline. Almost all of the water inputed is recovered as an output as we produce dry building materials, but the water that exits the process is far fresher and closer to potable quality. The significant levels of fresh water that Calera can produce could be used immediately for agricultural purposes or further treated to drinkable water using much less energy and money than traditional desalination or wastewater treatment. Calera's fresh water production can address a significant concern in many parts of the world, where fresh water is a scarce and dwindling resource.
